Can We Break The Chains Of The Corporate Slave?
The irony is that we are the ones who are making all of this possible. We are the ones that make the whole system work. Without us, there would be no system. We, the slaves of the Corporations and Governments, are the enablers of our Corporate Masters.
Imagine what would happen to all the Corporations, Governments and Agencies (Police, IRS, DHS, Armed Forces, etc) if we all decided not to work in their machine any more. What would happen if we all decided not to go to work tomorrow, or the next day or November 5? The System cannot exist without the many cogs that make it possible - us. Without us, there can be no Corporate Machine or Government. Within a very short time, days or weeks at most, everything would stop if we all just stayed home. Without us, the machine doesn't work. No need for violent protests, no need for armed rebellion.
But that's just crazy talk. We all need to work to survive.
That is the first slave chain that we learn. The system has us chained to their machines because there is no other way of survival. If we do not work, we do not eat. There is no other way of surviving in today's world except to earn money and we cannot earn money outside of the Corporate/Government system. We cannot break free of our slave chain because there is no other way to get the things we need to survive. We are taught this in school from a very early age. We are also taught about the consequences of any other system. Communism, Socialism, or any of the others isms, result in death and destruction, a loss of freedom and absolute chaos. History has proven that the only system that works is the one we have right now.
But does the system work?
The United States today should be a place of prosperity and opportunity. Having been the largest single economy on the planet for the last 120 years, all US citizens should by now be enjoying a lifestyle that is the envy of the entire world.
But it isn't.
Did you know that in the US:
More than 46 million are recorded as living in poverty. That equates to 1 in 7 Americans.
Nearly 35% of those in poverty are children.
Around 3.5 million are homeless.
Over 70 million received Welfare payments in 2011 (no data since).
Scientists have calculated that poverty is directly attributable to the deaths of over 290,000 US citizens per year. Globally, poverty causes 18 million deaths per year - that's 50,000 every day!
And did you know that there are over 17,000 law enforcement agencies in the US. That's Agencies, not people. 17,000 Agencies that have one purpose: to make sure people obey the Government's laws.
Just like the Roman Empire and all the other empires in history, the conclusion is the same. The wealth ends up in the hands of the few at the expense of the many. We tend to think of the Roman Empire in terms of temples, statues,, robes, riches and grapes. What we overlook is the fact that the privileged life-style was enjoyed by only about 5% of Rome's population, with the remaining 95% living at or below the poverty level. Sound familiar? The great Roman Empire, that lasted for hundreds of years, benefitted just 5% of the population!
I have read many proposed solutions to the issues created by our current system. The vast majority involve some type of currency and outline a system that is very similar to the one we currently have. Perhaps it is on a smaller scale or has different rules or has community groups instead of politicians. There are many solutions offered but they are, primarily, just different versions of the system we currently have or a process of resetting everything and starting again on a smaller scale, but with the same system. "It's not the system that's the problem, it's the banks/governments/
Should we do the same thing, and expect a different result?
What if there was no currency at all? What if we used what we have now to create a different system altogether? One that doesn't rely on working for money? There are such systems being suggested by small groups. The Venus Project for instance, looks at utilising our technology to establish a world where no one has to work but every one gets what they need. Poverty is abolished around the globe and people are free to learn, play, discover their own spirituality or anything else. The technology that is available could transform our very existence. Imagine how free energy and automation would change the planet. Imagine releasing all the cures that have been suppressed. Imagine releasing all the suppressed technologies.
But there is a second chain of slavery we have. The idea that we must have a system where people are free to make themselves better than everyone else, earn more money than anyone else, is implanted in our subconscious and repeated through our entire lives. Freedom, we are told, is all about being able to earn more money than everybody else. Freedom equals Free Markets. Freedom is why we destroy other countries and kill their people. Freedom is working hard so you can buy more stuff than anyone else. We are told that this is how you should recognise success and failure- the more money and things you have, the more successful you are. Is this really Freedom?
To me, freedom is being able to do what ever I want to do as long as that does not negatively impact someone else's freedom. I do not want to work in a boring job. I would like to write a book, learn piano, discover true spiritual freedom and expand my knowledge through research and interactions. I would like to teach and share my knowledge and ideas. Is that such a bad dream?
I doubt that I will see such a system in my lifetime but let's hope one day in the future, people break away from the slave chains of Currency and what we have been taught as Freedom. Otherwise our children's children will be reading about the rise and fall of just another empire in a book they bought with money they earned.
Are we enlightened enough to break free of the paradigm of measuring success by money, power and possessions or are we are destined to repeat history again and again? Have we evolved enough as a species to the point where we can break this destructive cycle? Only time will tell but that time is running out as the very system we cling to hastens the destruction of our humanity and our planet.
